Movies from every state day 35- Colorado

Since we are only using movies that we own we are experiencing a little difficulty with a few states, but we're working on the ones we have for now. Some states we have more than one choice and if that's the case, as it is tonight, we're taking turns picking. Tonight we visit several sites in Colorado " The Centennial State" so named because ( guess now ) give up? Because it became a state in 1876, 100 years after the signing of our nations Declaration of Independence. I'm overdue a dose of the Duke. We're watching the 1969 version of True Grit. I do like the Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon in the remake, but it's hard to beat John Wayne. The two young girls that play Mattie Ross in each movie do a great job. It's a tough call, but I might like the actress that does the second one better. I'll have to watch it again.
In 1968/9 they filmed at several spots in CO including Buckskin Joe Frontier Town and Railway. Owl Creek Pass and Castle Rock to name a few. It would be entertaining and well worth your while to watch both versions, if you haven't already done so and they are as much fun the second time around.
